H is for Harwell


Harwell is the former RAF base that was taken over by the UKAEA (United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority) It is now going through the stage of being decommissioned.
Over to the right you can see the Diamond light Source which is where I work

  2. I notice the smog in the first photo. We lived in Latrobe Valley for a while (where the major Victorian power stations are - brown coal based). We always called the power stations "Cloud Makers". Even on the clearest day, there would be a cloud. We had to move as the air was not good for my son's allergies.

  3. The sky in that second photo is just beautiful! Ours looked like that on Sunday. I took so many pictures of those clouds... :)
